Account deletion

Delete your account
and your data.

How to delete your account on The Drink Circle and everything linked to it: in the app, or from this page if you no longer have the app.

This page is for The Drink Circle app on Google Play and the App Store, developed by Rahul Kumar.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open The Drink Circle and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account is deleted, along with the data listed below.

Request deletion without the app

Enter the email address or mobile number you use to sign in to The Drink Circle. You don’t need the app installed.

For your privacy, we show the same confirmation whether or not an account exists for the details you enter. To protect your account, we may contact you at that email address or number to confirm the request before deleting anything.

You can also email privacy@thedrinkcircle.com from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile
  • Your sign-in details (email address or mobile number), date of birth and location setting
  • Your check-ins, ratings and tasting notes
  • Photos you uploaded
  • Who you follow, and who follows you
  • Your likes and comments
  • Your waitlist entry, if you joined the waitlist. This is removed as soon as you send a request from this page.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Drinks you added to the shared catalogue stay, so others can still find them, but they are no longer linked to you.
  • A minimal record of your deletion request (the email address or number you entered, when you asked, and when we handled it) is kept for 90 days as proof that the request was handled, then deleted.
  • Anything Indian law requires us to keep is kept only for as long as the law requires, and then deleted.
