You can delete your account and the data linked to it at any time: in the app, under Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, or on our account deletion page, which works without the app. We delete your account and its data within 30 days of your request.
Drinks you added to the shared catalogue stay, but are no longer linked to you. We keep a minimal record of your request (the email address or number you entered, when you asked and when we handled it) for 90 days as proof that it was handled, and anything Indian law requires us to keep only for as long as the law requires.
This public website does not create accounts or store a personal tasting journal. When you join the waitlist, the form sends your email, your optional “I am a…” choice and your confirmations to this website’s own server. See “The waitlist” below for what is stored and for how long.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how this website is used. It doesn’t use cookies and gives us only aggregated visit data, such as page views and the countries visits come from, not information about individual visitors. The site also keeps anonymous daily counts of waitlist sign-ups, removals and account deletion requests: numbers only, never email addresses or phone numbers. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process basic technical request information to serve and protect the site.
What we collect. When you join the waitlist on the Join page, we store only:
We do not store your name, your IP address or details about your browser or device with your sign-up. To keep out automated sign-ups, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check run by Cloudflare, which also hosts this website.
Why. We use your email address only to send you updates about The Drink Circle’s launch and invitations to early access.
How long we keep it. We keep waitlist details until six months after The Drink Circle publicly launches, and then delete them, unless you have created an account by then.
How to be removed. Use our account deletion page, which removes your waitlist entry straight away, or email privacy@thedrinkcircle.com from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed from the waitlist. We will delete your sign-up.
The Drink Circle is being designed around data minimization, clear controls and understandable choices. The app may handle account information, private journal entries, saved drinks and social information if those features are implemented. The final policy must explain what is collected, why, who can see it, how long it is retained, and how people can access, export or delete it.
For waitlist details and removal requests, see The waitlist.
For questions, complaints or requests about your personal data, including access, correction or deletion, email privacy@thedrinkcircle.com. Our grievance officer is Rahul Kumar, reachable at the same address. We respond within 30 days.
